My mother has always adored horses since a young age. I remember the day mum got her first horse, Paris. I was in year 4 in primary school. Four more horses later and the novelty still hasn't worn off for her. Revisiting back to my childhood, I spent a lot of time in The New Forest with my mother and some parts hold special memories to me. This documentary series shows my mother's relationship with The New Forest, her horses and an exploration of those special places within the english landscape to both my mum and I.

This series was shot on 35mm film and images were printed in the darkroom and also made into a handmade hardback book. This series was for my Final Major Project at university. Some images were exhibited at the university and one image was exhibited in the PrintSpace gallery in London.
